Aftermath: 100 years of creativity from conflict

imageIf you are staying at Manchester for the weekend or you come some time before the conference, ethics and violence are also present in this exhibition that will surely be of your interest.

Marking the centenary of the start of the First World War, Aftermath is both an act of commemoration for lives lost or shattered by war, and a celebration of the enduring spirit of humanity.

Aftermath brings together examples of protest, reflection, memorial and invention. These represent the stories of people across the world, throughout history and from every walk of life, whose lives have been forever changed by conflict.

In addition, the exhibition is held at one of the most beautiful buildings in the city that you should certainly visit: the John Rhylands Library.
